On October 22-24, 2024, the XVI BRICS Summit was held at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center. The high-level meeting was a key event of Russia’s presidency in the intergovernmental association of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa in 2024.
The company “Bituscan” is proud that the security of the Russian and international delegations at the Kazan Expo was ensured by its installed equipment, specifically: 72 stationary arch metal detectors
B2scan SD1000, 30 X-ray inspection systems
B2scan 6040B, and 15 mobile under-vehicle inspection systems
B2scan DD-M. Additionally, in preparation for the BRICS Summit, the service team of Bituscan LLC ensured uninterrupted operation of the equipment for two months—from September to November 2024.
The location was not chosen by chance. “Kazan has hosted a number of major international events, both sporting and political,” explained President Vladimir Putin. “Naturally, it has become a focal point.”
On the sidelines of the summit, BRICS Plus/Outreach meetings also took place. “This format of dialogue is very important,” stated the Russian leader. “It provides a good opportunity for substantive discussions on current issues of mutually beneficial cooperation with countries that largely share the approaches of the ‘group of five’—our like-minded partners.”
Russia summarized the results of its presidency in the organization and used the platform to deepen bilateral contacts.
In particular, Putin held a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Additionally, Russia signed a “historic” strategic partnership agreement with Iran.
