A compact solution for inspecting the undersides of vehicles. Unlike conventional inspection methods, such as a mirror or inspection pit, the system provides a highly detailed image of the entire underside of the vehicle without delaying the movement of vehicles at the inspection point.
Application
Thanks to its mobile design, the B2scan DD-M vehicle underbody inspection system is used to organize temporary vehicle inspection posts and has a number of advantages over a stationary system:
- The system has a relatively low weight (80 kg) and transport wheels with a locking mechanism. Accordingly, it can be moved to the place of application manually without using technical means for lifting and moving the load;
- Preparing the system for operation takes less than half an hour;
- Using the complex, it is possible to examine the bottoms of all types of vehicles of different load capacities and dimensions, obtaining images of the bottom in high resolution;
- The scanning module can be used in any weather conditions.
Design features
The main components of the mobile inspection complex are:
- Floor scanning module;
- Operator workstation;
- License plate recognition camera.
Operating principle
After activating the IR sensor of the scanning module, the high-speed linear camera takes hundreds of frames per second, the software glues them together to form a high-resolution color image of the bottom and quality, analyzes the color range of the received image and draws the operator’s attention to suspicious places. The system has the ability to compare current and archived images of the same vehicle.
The license plate recognition camera identifies the vehicle at the moment of activation of the IR sensor, recognizes the state registration number of the vehicle and compares the received information with the downloaded databases.
