Intelligent” is a distinguishing feature of the archway metal detector compared to similar devices of previous generations. The metal detector operates based on the technology of “Intelligent Metal Classification.” As a result, the metal detector, with appropriate sensitivity settings, can display detected personal items without triggering an alarm while detecting and classifying prohibited metallic items, and only alerting on them.

The Intelligent Archway Metal Detector consists of a patented system for detecting and classifying metallic items, a video camera, a built-in peripheral computing unit with artificial intelligence technologies, a tablet with a monitor, and a cloud control platform. The metal detector is easily transportable and can be installed both outdoors and indoors.

The Intelligent Archway Metal Detector / IMDS, developed in collaboration with Huaton Technology Co., is a revolutionary system for detecting dangerous metallic objects. It is designed for expedited screening of visitors, including those with backpacks, wallets, bags, etc., with the aim of detecting various prohibited metallic items such as knives, firearms, and others.

The user can customize standard security settings according to specific needs and operational requirements. Three sensitivity levels are available, tailored to different usage scenarios. The default setting is optimized for detecting firearms and knives with a blade length exceeding 5 cm, while automatically ignoring common personal items such as mobile phones, keys, and other small metallic objects. Increasing the sensitivity level improves detection capability but may lead to more frequent alerts on non-threat items. At the highest sensitivity level, the false alarm rate does not exceed 5%.
Equipped with 25 detection zones, the metal detector not only identifies the general detection zone but also precisely locates the position of concealed objects — front or back, inner thighs, footwear, and other specific body areas.
Alarms are indicated via audio and visual alerts. The tablet display shows both graphical and text information about the shape, material, and exact location of the suspicious object.
The multi-zone alarm mode allows simultaneous display of all zones in which metal objects have been detected, within a single intuitive interface.
Detected prohibited metal items are automatically identified and classified into categories. Information about the object’s material and shape is displayed on the tablet screen and/or transmitted to the cloud-based control system platform.
