Krasnoyarsk International Airport of Krasnoyarsk hosted for the first time two major Eurasian forums on the development of passenger and cargo air transportation – NETWORK and NETWORK CARGO. More than 350 delegates from the transport industry from all over the world took part in the large-scale events. Forum guests were able to evaluate the infrastructure of the Krasnoyarsk airport, which after the construction of a new terminal in December 2017 can rightfully be considered the main hub of Siberia.
The organizers of the NETWORK and NETWORK CARGO forums – the Center for Strategic Research in Civil Aviation – said that within the framework of the platforms “several unique business events will be held for airlines, airports, tour operators, cargo terminals, express carriers, freight forwarding companies and solution providers from the countries of the Eurasian continent.”
The B2scan brand became an official partner of the II Eurasian Route Development Forum Network, demonstrating an innovative product at its stand – the B2scan SD1000 arched metal detector, designed to accurately detect metal objects on the body and clothing of a person being inspected.
The organizers add that Krasnoyarsk was not chosen as the venue for the Eurasian Aviation Forum by chance. This region is located in the very center of Eurasia, being the most important air transport hub of Siberia and the Far East and a strategically important transit hub in air traffic between Europe and Asia. Today, this hub is among the top 15 largest airports in Russia. Regular and charter passenger transportation from Krasnoyarsk is carried out by 27 passenger airlines on 63 routes, domestic and international. In 2018, the airport’s passenger traffic exceeded the historical maximum and amounted to 2.5 million passengers.
