Vladivostok, September 21, 2020 – Vladivostok International Airport is the first among the airports in the Far Eastern Federal District to install a disinfection corridor for disinfecting clothes, shoes, skin, baggage and carry-on baggage of passengers. The equipment was supplied by the company “BITUSKAN”. The corridor will strengthen security measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.

Given the current epidemiological situation and the resumption of air traffic, the issue of effective safety of passengers, airline and airport employees is extremely acute.

Today, all necessary measures are being taken at the Primorye air harbor to combat the new coronavirus infection: an operational headquarters has been organized, a mask regime has been introduced, premises are regularly disinfected, thermal imagers and disinfectors have been installed, and control over the condition of retail and food outlets in the terminal has been strengthened. All employees undergo daily body temperature measurements using a contactless thermometer, and employees in contact with passengers use personal protective equipment.

Andrey Vinichenko, General Director of Vladivostok International Airport:

– We are the first airport in the Far Eastern Federal District and the second in Russia to install such equipment. The universal disinfection corridor will additionally ensure a high level of safety for airport passengers, in addition, the same corridor has been installed at the service entrance for the company’s employees.

The presentation of the installation was attended by Oleg Kozhemyako, Governor of Primorsky Krai:

– For airports with large crowds of people, this is of great importance, so I am, frankly speaking, grateful to the airport management for purchasing such an installation. This is very important, especially now during the period of increasing flu cases.

The manufacturer of the disinfection corridor, the company “BITUSKAN”, emphasizes that this equipment allows for automatic complete disinfection of clothes, shoes, skin, as well as hand luggage of passengers and in “real time” to measure body temperature. The disinfection corridor destroys up to 99% of viruses and bacteria, provides high throughput – up to 360 people per hour, and the duration of disinfection of 1 person is only 10-20 seconds.
